Ok so after the Bay of Islands trip, 17 of us went for PAINTBALL!!! This was on the Monday the following week. There were like 13 guys and 4 gals and of coz MY team won =p hehehe.. and we had 3 gals on my team lor.. actually i would say its BECOZ we had more gals on the team thats why we won... the other team of 7 guys 1 gal lost coz the guys there had no strategy?? hahha just rush rush rush like rambo wheares my team had 2 ex NS guys hehehe.. and we had a more comprehensive team. Zhengjie, Me (the NSmen) with the rest of guys were at the front and flanks while the couple shuping and weechin held the midfield and the gals CY and Hsinyee held the last line... haha as expected the last line saved our asses quite a few times with last man denies and long range support and survelliance haha.. aiyo i revert back into NS mood liao. Anyway it was a really fast 3 hrs that zooomed by and everyone had bruises on them. haha in fact the post game activity was the compare bruises lor. Haha i guess for me the memorable times is when Choonwei got confused where to bring the flag so he was running for our own goal!? and we were like stunned for a few seconds before we gunned him down. LOL talk about friendly fire! and of coz, the match where Yingleong rushed for the flag and got the wrong flag?! and we had to fight against time to win that one. hahaha... and of coz my personal favourite, sneaking behind enemy lines to calmly gun them down in their backs hahaha!!! Solid Snake!!

HI GUYS!

Yeah i blog about once a month haha.. seriously lazy lar.. anyway for the prev months feb and march there was nothing much except school and home making.. yeah i just realised i havent posted any pics of my apartment yet. Haha mebbe later as my apartment is currently quite messy due to the hols esp my room.. strewn with old clothes and tons of stuff lying around (esp bottles i dunno why, i have at least 6 bottles in my room, some huge at 2.25L, some small at 800mL hehe)

Anyway, where did i leave off the last blog? oh yeah the shittified chemmat test. (for you chem engineers, its the process engineering type of qns you'll know wat i mean). SO there i was, feeling bad and trying hard to cram in every ounce of info about the cellular biology test. The prev years look pretty ez, but well i was taking no chances and yup, this year's paper was relatively ez! so it was a nice end to the first part of the first term. A great start to the EASTER BREAK! CY and I went off for pizza hut for TWO large pizzas hehe (tho we took back the leftovers for the next day) and we bumped into Angie and her brother along the same road. HAHA they are so nice, drove us to food town coz we needed to do groceries too and drove us back all the way. Saved us quite a lot of walking! And then for me it was dota till late at night before turning in.

The next day, it was an extremely hard to wake up early morning for me! (talk abt 4 hrs of sleep) as it was off to BAY OF ISLANDS! 10 of us were gonna drive all by ourselves up north for a 3 day hols. So off went Hsinyee and Weechin to collect the 2 cars and in trooped the other 8 of us, Ain, Feezah, Diana, Hazdah (pardon me if i got those names wrong!) CY, shuping, hoigi and me. In my car i was the co-driver (with no license hehe) aka the navigator aka the vehicle commander haha and hsinyee was the full time driver. Hsinyee had trouble at the start as she was rusty with manual cars and auckland is damn unforgiving with 60degree slopes right outside the apartments. Hence our car had heart attack moments where roll backs, gearbox grind and tires SMOKING right off the bat! haha.. but credit has to be given to her. Within 3 bad hillstarts, she went to pro driver, zooming at average of 100kmh smoothly and steadily and nonstop. Zai le... haha.. there was a memorable car stop at Te Hana town as that gas station was run by sikhs and they served piping hot SALTY fries and CHicken hehe.. yummy!

Took like 5 hours to reach Paihia Bay of Islands as there was the Easter break rush north and jams on what NZ calls its highways (just 2 lane roads, gravel track at times and like 1km overtaking stretches only O_O""). Zooming thru endless fields, valleys, coastlines and mountains was pretty relaxing seeing sheep, cows, horses dot the fields. Bay of Islands as it suggests its a coastside town which has 100+ islands in its bay. There are a couple of beaches along it, but hmm its just sand as in its not like sentosa where you have beach courts etc etc and not really a tropical resort type of feeling haha. But then in the first case its not a resort wat. We checked into our backpackers and dumped all our stuff before walking over to pay for our sunday morning tour of the bay by boat and then its off shopping and walking! MY GOODNESS! the gals are incredible coz they take like 30min to walk down 2m of the sidewalk. WHY? coz in that 2m are 2 shops selling clothes, jewellery and all sorts of knickknacks that GALS just have to buy lol.. me and weechin ended up outside the shop doing... nothing haha. After more walking around taking fotos icecream and shopping for the gals, we trooped back to the motel where dinner was the leftover pizzas from yest with side serves of chips, chocs and more junk hehe and it was turning in for the nite.

The 2nd day was yet another early day...zzzz woke at 7am or so as we all had to get ready by 730 to 8am for yet another long drive to the northern most point of North island of NZ~~ Cape Reinga, where the 2 seas meet (PACIFIC OCEAN and TASMAN SEA). We sped all the way north thru more lonely hills and valleys where sometimes you seem to be driving along in the country and other times, driving up into the blue blue sky but after sooooo long we hit Cape Reinga! Its really pretty awesome as its this spur poking into the sea, where behind is the Ninety Mile Beach and infront is the violent surges of 2 seas clasing, creating whirlpools and breakers. There's also a picturesque lighthouse at the end which looks pretty small in respect to the vast ocean before it.

After a looong time doing crazy fotos at the peak, it was off to another drive to the 90 Mile Beach. But this time, the other car got into an accident! U see, the road's actually a gravel road running alongside the hilllines etc, so the other car went round a corner and drifted into the oncoming lane, driver tried to correct but overcorrected and ended up going into the hillside. Driver jammed brakes and serve out again to the right, but downslope, gravelly road and a high speed = spin and crash off the hill!

Ok haha i am overdramatizing it. By God's grace the car was stopped by a clump of bushes only the exhaust pipe and the rear bumper was bumped and no one got hurt and. (altho no one in the car had seat belts on... zzz o_O"). Helpful Kiwis (the people not the birds!) came and helped us tow the car up and to a safe place, direct traffic and get repair stuff.. The exhaust was dragging on the floor and i managed to tie it up with cord. HAHA, good knots le since it lasted for the rest of the 3 days without anymore incident. One thing i really like about the Kiwis is that they are really helpful when you really need help as in like in this situation.

After this rather exciting incident, we were undeterred and zooomed off to the Sand Dunes off the Ninety Mile Beach. I find it really weird that out of the middle of nowhere, there is a HUGE pile of sand that is like at least 100m high at parts. I mean where did all that sand come from? Oh well, everyone went off sand tobanggonning but me and CY didnt as it wasnt really fast as a water slide hehe so off we went to some high high secluded plateau of sand to ......... laze on the sand and kooon.. haha wat were you thinking!?

After an hour or so at the dunes, it was zoooooooooom all the way to the Ninety Mile Beach. Like its namesake, its a stretch of flat beach that goes for soooooooo long. Not really Ninety Miles though, more like 55 miles long actually but still its long enuff. We thought we had gotten lost as it was a long secluded drive through a dark forest (you know those in the creepy horror movies those type? was around dusk already then) with no sea in sight until the very end. In fact on the drive back we saw wild horses in the forests. The beach was really flat and long as far as the eye can see and the waves were like way awesome? You could see the whitehead crashers just off the beach and the water was really brrrr cold. More camera work and zooom back alll the way thru the 3hr++ night drive (NO STREET LAMPS! only reflectors!) back to Bay of Islands to wash up, dinner (takeaway burgers from a bar) and zzzzz...

The last day was Sunday and up again for another early morning! This time was to the pier for the Dolphin watching trip and tour of the Bay of Islands! Actually why not i let the cruise pictures tell you about it haha coz its really hard to write about a cruise about scenary!? We did see a lot of dolphins though, with a short history lesson of the Bay of Islands and a daring cruise into the HOLE IN THE ROCK (an arch between an island and a soon to be stack for you geog students!)

Hi guys yes pls dun kill me for not blogging its just plain no time no energy no opportunity. Just COMPLETED a totally shittified test. You know, those type of not so difficult, just plain tricky and freaking no time to do type of test. One cockeye then gone liao no chance to go back redo type of test... zzz i dunno.. these types of test really test more of ur alertness and to an extent luck see you on form that day or not more than your effort at revision. Dunno lar..

These 2 weeks had really been quite hellish for me. This is coz there are 2 tests this week.. one being that shittified test i just described and the major one 25% cellular biology test tomolo which will demand majority of my brain memory. Had a stats assignment too but almost everyone had it and it wasnt really major.

The thing that killed me (my source of stress in my msn nick) was my chemical engineering lab report. zzz i had like totally no idea what to do as i dun have kind seniors to save me and loan me their old ones and i was the first one to do it... the lab journal ate up my weekend and the lab report ate up my sleep over the last 3 days. Literally no sleep coz i burn my midnight to morning times doing that @#$#!$E report.

Haiz no mood to mug hard... hopefully can make it tomolo.

Haha on a lighter note, I got totally freaking herbal chickenly drenched TWICE in the same day.. lol morning had rain but i tot i can make it to school in my waterproof windbreaker. Guess wat. Apparently the rain was from a cyclone blowoff ---> totally dripping wet when i entered the LT. haha Took off my wet shoes wet socks and wet jacket to dry during lecture muhahaaha!!! then when i went back, i had a comfy warm shower and changed to dry clothes... Hmm afternoon seeems way better coz the rain had stopped and off i went to the lectures.. when lectures ended 3 hrs later, its CYCLONE TIME AGAIN!!! walioa le.. ran back in the rain... and dripped all over the lift and lobby of my apartments..

hmm ok thats all for the update.. chat wif u guys laterz..

Hi guys, yeah i know i know its been a long time since i updated from the time i touched down. Almost 10 days since the day i flew off from spore. Sorry dudes, been very busy you see. Sat touch down and had dinner at a Thai restuarant with frens as it was a 20 birthday celebration for Chiayee tho i think everyone was really tired as most of us had only just arrived. Sun was moving house and our junk from our fren's (Hoigi) place to our new home. Mon to Fri was first week of sch with the usual intro lectures, sorting out of coursebooks, textbooks and schedules. On top of that I had to squeeze in payments and bank cheques and visa applications and internet plans and stocking of food and saunces etc... time just flies i guess and the moolah tooo.. sniff sniff haha.. had another gathering at ororke to celeb weechin's 21 bday on sat kinda miss ororke and its rowdiness when everyone was there. then sun was church and swimming in the lap pool in empire and hsework and nooo.. monday's here and another week begins. Ah well at least now i feel more in the study mood le as the pace is being racked up. haha i think i have a new hobby-- cooking! haha dun tell u all too much abt my successes first later i get abused lol.. kk gtg rush for work. Tomolo 9 to 3 str8 no break!
