Woo thursday was a long day...
Lectures started at 9 and went on to 12 where we went back for a light lunch, and read up more on the up coming lab, which was a 3hr marathon building of a 5 week old embryo model. It was prob the most attention and energy demanding lab so far as dexterity and concentration were needed for the total 180min... tiring man haha but it was very fun and my embryo looks kinda aborted haha.. well the next lab i will get it back after it has been fired.. IF it hasnt been smashed up i will upload pics so stay tuned!! hehe i have in on my camera hp tho..
So lab finished at 5 and i rushed back to hostel intending to rest for a while and do some revision b4 the math test at 6 but couldnt even warm the seat when we had to leave... As it was the test started late and i had a scare when my brain fuzzed out for a couple of secs regarding product and quotient rule (haha glen dun scold me) but came out satisfied. shld be a nice mark i think.
So we 4 guys supposed to go out and eat as it was too late for dinner when we received the news that the gals have HELPED us pack late dinners without us asking. Well, i am sure they had good intentions and the sweetest notions but haha man.. (mutters good intentions pave the road to hell hahah)
SO. We had no choice but to sojourn to their room to consume our dinner in their presence. Had to face a battery of loaded questions man, lol... but its ok lar i guess..
Anyway so after the long draining day yesterday, i was totally moodless to study and spent my time chatting online and in real life and slept early. Its funny that if i sleep early i will oversleep and wake wif a hangoverish headache.. so next time no more sleeping too much man..
As such today i was suffering from a mild headache.. which i tried to solve by napping but i got a nightmare about my jaw and teeth falling to bits hahah... couldnt really study but i manage to complete my last chapter for math test on monday and i just tried 2 past year mcq for next week's bio test so it wasnt sooo bad i guess.. but not really productive.. hehe tho i really improved my skills for playing table tennis for 3 hrs after dinner muhahah
Sooo... wassap For this Weekend? More mugging for Monday's Math test and completion of a math assignment. Cutting of my hair heheh!!! and oso bio revision for thursday test and brainstorming for my scigen assignment due the following monday! Well looking from past year questions, they arent really free frags as they have a certain degree of difficulty man.. haha so more mugging needed sniff..
Well One test DOWN! 3 more to go and ITs a 2 week easter break!!! where shld i go?? everyone going all over the place sniff..

Happy Birthday MaMa!! haha first time i sang a bday song and celebrated a birthday over the net via webcam! I say we are pretty high tech eh? hahah...
Nothing much to write home other than this, except this 3 weeks will be intensive studying so i will hiding in my room to study study study... lol.. bo bian i have to know my standards and this is the only way without killing me
Do good, be knocked around, get disappointed, disillusioned but still, do good. haha a condensed version of the famous poem. May my time, energy and attention be always open to people who need it coz as God said, I am that guy u helped!
Just a sobering sidenote tho, as Mom put it succintly. Dont expect people to be return it. The less u expect, the less hurt u get. But thats quite a sad view eh? But then again, reality is always sad and practicality is prob the safest route.

Before i get back to book immersion.. some random tots off my head...
The weather is getting rainy and cold... these 2 days it has been raining almost the whole day or something like that... the funny thing is when the rain is not around, it can be quite warm. Haha and people had been saying i had been wearing the same thing for quite a while.. so today i wore my checkered shirt.. and promptly got called an old man or construction worker.. waliaoz... My poor jacket oso kanna commented on lol.. and my 2 threadbare white tees too that i wear in hostel.. if it was me a couple years back i will prob bochup but now i pay a bit more attention eh?
My 1st/FREE MP3 PLAYER!!
just got my free mp3 player today from National Bank.. hehe my first mp3 player.. relax its nothing sexy, just a chunky 128mb player haha.. for now its just sitting on my shelf and I oso changed my bedsheets yesterday!!! yippee!! Yest i used the washing machine and dryer for the first time coz i was washing my 2 sets of bed linen. Now my bed looks soo white coz i oso fold my blanket army style instead of the kiwi way of draping it over the bed. So it looks way way neater... Quite happy about that..

Abt sch work and academia. I have sorta kept up all the way but u know i am at the stage where i know my work but i dun have it at my fingertips... gonna be hard work to get myself to that stage as there is really alot to memorise... Oso find myself more and more inactive both socially and physically as my meal times are often just spent in much silence and lazing arnd until everyone is gone.. unlike a couple of weeks ago i would actively make frens and play... I guess i have sorta reverted to my anti-social self. For me, its a real effort to go out, make frens and constantly strengthen social bonds. Its not second nature to me unlike what people here believe.
Been trying to implement some sort of daily 5BX routine into my life after a scare recently at how unfit i was. Even wif the limited exercise i can feel my body regain some of its strength and tone. So that's gd. If possible i will make it a routine b4 meals everyday.. all i lack is a chinup bar haha...

Yet another week flies by.. i remember this week being quite eventful but days seems to blend into each other, perhaps a consequence of my irregular sleeping pattern this week i guess..
anyway lemme try to recap... cant exactly remember the days so i have to be vague. At the start of the week I remember there was one night I was quite active probably a tad too much coffee or tea so i couldnt sleep and Gen was doing yet another all Nighter for her Psycho paper. So i was nice and brought her tea lol but we ended up toking quite long and sometime later we were hungry and went to buy food at Foodtown-->24hr supermarket. Man having a car rocks man!!
Oh yes i have rediscovered coffee after quitting it for a while.. guess i remembered why i depended on it quite a bit back when i was a student. Coffee is an ever reliable tool for ensuring i keep awake when staring at totally boring work or notes.. haha too bad in army i kinda quit it coz i WANTED to sleep haha!
Then there was this night i finished my work early and was totally bored so i borrowed a vcd Seven Swords to watch. LoL dont condemn me as it was the only thing i could find at such short notice and stayed up to watch it... it was ok i guess but i think i got more kick outta it trying to remember which Hero used which Sword haha..
lemme see Da Ge used Dragon Sword which could vibrate harmonically, Er Ge used Transcience Sword which is like left half rough and unfinished and right finished like a normal sword.. supposed to represent some taoist thing.
San Di used Sun n Moon Sword which by far is the most interesting sword coz it was 1 long sword and 1 short sword which can attach together or be used like dual weaponstyle. So his combined sword can effectively extend suddenly or have a sudden 90 degree bend! haha..
Si di used two short swords which have chains attached to him kinda like large throwing knives. They were called Star Chaser Swords. Wu Di had a heavy sword which can cleave rock so its like Yang Guo's Xuan Tie Jian in Shen Diao Xia Lu.
Liu Mei had a very interesting sword which she dunno how to use lol.. Its a reversible sword called Heaven's Fall,ie fathomless changes as the blade can slide thru the handle at ease.
The Leader, Old man Fu used a staff sword which in my opinion has always been a very effective weapon in real life.. lol.. sorry i quite into these kinda stuff haha..
Yeah back to my week, I remember quite a bit of people still sick, so here and there i was spot checking people and taking care of them, and of coz there was this small bundle which was experiencing some teenager trouble so had to one on one for a while. Hopefully small bundle can wise up real fast as small bundle is really quite naive haha... Kinda dun wanna suddenly introduce cynicism to her too fast yeah? Being worldly has its advantages but i guess the innocence is still a virtue.
And then before i knew it the weekend has come. On friday night, Kazu, a japanese malaysian who is Yr 2 Biotech and here in O rorke organised quite a last min dinner outing to a Jap drinking restuarant. So off we were when at the entrance Bernie this malaysian gal who is 4 days short of 18 couldnt get in! haha... Bernie is funny as in she's 17++ but she totally acts too mature for her age to the extent most people think she is 20?? Anyway we 3 Knights in Shining Armour volunteered to escort her for dinner else where and left a disappointed crowd.. lol.. So me, Suren and Weechin went off to Metro at Queen's st to try and catch a movie and settle her dinner but as luck would have it, when we were abt to enter we couldnt get tix as Bernie was spotted wif BK in her hands lol.. and so we went somewhere to let her eat first and then 4 elderly Koreans came to evangelize one on one.. i was laffing away as i witnessed my frens' discomfort but seriously i think they were all very well behaved and polite and anyway i rescued them when i felt i gave them enuff time. I have my own views abt street evangelism but thats another topic for another time. So off we jalaned off to a Chinese restuarant and had supper... haha and the disappointed gals in Kazu's Jap foodie outing started to call up being evidently high.. haiz..
Anyway after coming back me and Suren stayed up to watch Kill Bill Vol 1 n 2. Seriously i find it kinda funny is a sick way... lol.. and Sat was Shopping Day!!! me, Stacy, Bernie and Gen bundled into her car and went off to a far off place called Botany to shop! The dist is about 30km? from Gedong Camp to Home in Bishan? haha not used to long drives man.. so me and the aunties had a fun drive there and i ended buying tons of groceries coz I needed them?! haha while as gals love to do.. window shopped and shopped lol.. I even got myself a toy?! muahhahahaha... after like 10 yrs off toys?!?!? lol.. And i slept late on Sat again after watching The Eye wif Chiayee, Shuping and Suren in Shuping's rm.. kinda easy to predict but some parts were still creepy as it was distinctly asian like the Chinese funeral Lanterns and all...

After a long night of jagaing sick people, daniel slept in this morning due to the extra hour due to daylight saving! Now i am only 4 hrs ahead of Spore!! hehe
Anyway, i tagged along wif marie this time to go to North Shore which is a bus ride away (3bugs!) to this HarbourSide Church. Hehe yet another charismatic church but this one was not bad. No tithes by EFTPOS(our nets), the msg was decent(but conveniently skipped over the negative part of John 15) haha.. well it was really not bad but its kinda really far... dang i forgot to take fotos of the church..
Yeah anyway, today was a slow day for me, mainly studying all the way and i am quite pleased by the amount i managed to cover. Hehe, as usual some fotos for u all to enjoy.

Had a late morning call as i was very tired on friday night and i only crawled out of bed at 9am becoz i had an assignment to DO! It WAS YUMCHAR DAY!
Me and Genevieve both majulah singapuras had organized an YUMCHAR Lunch for my asian frens mainly, she's 4th yrs Psychology older than me by 1 year so she provided the knowledge of the area and the bookings, i did the pr and manpower. Never did i know the response would hit like 20+people!! My goodness, my first major event here i organised and its already 20 odd people? LOL back home when i org things for frens, it always screwed up so i was half expecting Murphy to come a knocking...
I managed to round up all the people roughly on time (I'm on rubber time so u catch my drift lol) and we ambled our way to Anzac Ave to this Chinese Yumchar restuarant! Lucky Genevieve booked 2 tables before hand coz it was packed to the max!
A yummy lunch wif lots of fresh food, i literally gorged on fresh prawns man.. yummy haha.. and lots of fotos coz people were playing wif my camera too.. haha.. i got like soo many shots of myself eating lorz!! but its interesting to see how i look in in real life haha..

Whee!! NICe job!! Thanks to Gen w/o U this wont be possible. Think since this is successful i might make it a semi-regular thing and already more people are telling me they want to come along too.. man haha the pool is gonna hit like 30ish people the next time?? muhahaha

Tot i am a nice guy and i cant stand lousy lao pok WHITE excuses for vballs so i brought down my NEW wilson beach vball for some of the hall mates to play... And also wanted to break it in...

I wasnt playing so i couldnt really control what they did to my ball. Volleys onto balconies walls and streets. DAMN my BALL IS A BEACH VBALL NOT A SOCCER BALL!!! now my ball has a tear.. sniff sniff.. but i patched it up wif super glue...

First off, I wanna congrats all my batchmates for this momentous week that most people had been waiting for but it sorta dissapoints when it comes...
ORD LOH!
Congrats all u buggers! The feelings doesnt really set in, but you will feel it when u get back into the swing of REAL life. haha..
I ponder how come a day can be soooo short that really there doesnt seem to be enuff to study mug and work and do all the stuff i want, along with keeping everyone happy, entertained and setting up a care network. Its kinda weird that i seem to be the core person in this network i set up to keep people entertained happy and taken care of. I have been a clown, a stand up comedian, a doctor, a teacher, a listener, a pti, a barnabas, a organiser, an inspiration haha and yeah.. esp for all u oldies who know my other side rather well. Its kinda different right from my usual dour moody self? Mebbe becoz the crowd is younger than me so i pass myself off as 16 (my fav opening line) and have fun and take care of them.
Among the fun and games, laughter and activity, there were a few points i could do better to improve myself. My temper still slipped when i am tired and i can get quite bad at times when i myself feel that i've gone a tad too far.
Of coz, there was Deja Vu... happening in front of me. glen shld know what i mean. Its kinda scary that 9000km and 4yrs on, same old things can happen. Like i am looking back in time wahaha..
Work/ activities and study, bahz.. i need more energy and time!!!
YEah and i Got a Wilson BEaCh Vball today! NZ29 so its abt 32 Sing? hope it lasts man.. everyone in my hall knows me by my nick LOST coz of my class jersey i wore for vball and ditto for my autographed ball. Will post pics if possible tomolo. Man its already Wed..

On sat night, we had a mini celebration of Xiao Lan and Ying Leong Bdays.. both of them malaysians. Monday was a slow day... felt utterly slow and everyone is like so low motor.. curse it on my big mouth as when i just said that there was a FIRE DRILL! clever me reminded all to put their pillows infront of the door to indicate they are outta their rms AND PROMPTLY WENT TO PRESS THE LIFT!! Haha so blur kanna knocked on my head twice for that!!

It was a fine saturday morning and i struggled to roll outta bed at 630 coz i was going jogging! Have to make it a habit and make it more often to build my fitness back. Sunday morning i went to a new church again. Yet another small one wif a Singaporean pastoress.. lol the world is tiny indeed. Its was ok lar, but not very sure what denomination coz its like half here half there. Feels a bit charismatic but not so extreme lar..
Anyway finished Inter Res Vball comps today Sunday afternoon. Well to cut a long story short. We turned out tops of the table from the strange scoring system (doesnt matter if u win or not.. whoever racks up better scores at the end of 4 games goes to the finals?!?) We lost 2 matches closely like 2 or 1 pt, and thrashed the rest. Our strongest opponents International House and Grafton Hall won 3 of 4 each but they lost by bigger margins so we topped the table?!?! its like super wierd lar..
But anyway the finals was a rematch between O rorke and Int Hall. Int Hall dominated by a malaysian team who had vball players but not super zai or what.. normal players who werent as tall or dominating as my tall dudes. But my team being untrained and playing simple, lost lar.. lol.. expected. Funny thing is they were so tensed up and i was like EASY EASY TEAM! Play SIMPLE!! HAHA i was dancing to the dance beats while ON COURT! First comp i am soo relaxed man. Made only a couple mistakes in service (we were actually standing INSIDE the tiny COURT to serve lor!!)and blocking coz i depended on the big dudes to block more lol. Sometimes must be a little more ego and just get the point lol..
As i always knew, vball is a TEAM GAME where everyone MUST know how to play, otherwise sure die one.. unless ur Mr Lim who makes all the noobs get outta the way and the pros do everything. Effective but fun killing. Haha but I still wanna play for ur team Mr Lim!!!

WAnted to Post yesterday but internet was sooo slow at night. But anyway,
Zoom and the second week is by!!! looking back its scary how MUCH content was covered in these 2 weeks its LIKE WHOA. Good news i made the trials!! and i am spiking better of coz the net is a tad low like gals net but i am sure as i warm up properly i can spike set def serve well enuff... If ever the set comes to me sniff lol.. setting for 1.84 monsters here is oso a breeze lol.. So let see the sunday match and how it turns out.. i quite bochap whether win or lose, i just want to play well on my own and i am gonna buy a beach vball and Oakleys soon hehez time to learn BEACH VBALL!
School is pretty routine already which is good in a sense. Today, i managed to study quite a bit for bio so i am pleased. Strangely my pool skills are improving rapidly here (at least i think) although the table sucks the cue sticks are horrible lol.. so thats very nice. I still think I take sports and winning too seriously lol.. must tone down lar..
Went to Foodtown (like Carrfour) as kakis wanna buy groceries and stuff. I just tagged along for jalan jalan and photos! Enjoy!

Whew, its the second week of school and already the homework is piling up. VEry unlike last time, my courses give us the resources and homework WWWAAAAYYY before hand so its really up to me when to do it.. lol.. but still havent get into full swing so hey hey my energies are not that focused... if at all hahah..
Soooo far, my math i can keep up and ditto for my physiology and anat. To me these 2 are pat easy but no overconfidence there.. SciGen aka Science GP is getting into mumbo jumbo stage in my brain so thats a nono.. have to get my brain clear..
I guess the major headache is Campbell Reese based Bio lects.. @Y(*!^*$RE&)EWQ( toot!! amount of data overload and reading to do.. i like it as the lecturer is really interesting and funny (my other bio lecturer too) but the reading is !@#$!@#%%@% shit... ahzzz
This Sunday is inter Hall VBall! Yippe!! at least something to watch. Gonna go for tryouts tomolo night but play for fun.. not very confident as after all i am shortie and rusty.. if can play for hall best.. Also got the contact of the Varsity Vball Capt and hopefully i can hear from him soon yeah!!!
I have to write out my objectives and aims man.. if not its easy to lose track. ah ah ah.. short post.. got guests hehez.. and some pictures..
